PARADISO
CANTO XXXIII
︎
Brief
Typographically interpret Canto XXXIII of Dante Alighieri’s Paradiso, the final chapter of ‘The Divine Comedy’, to allow the text to reach a new audience.
Response
The project was awarded membership to the society. I focused upon themes of ascension, light, and the symbolism of the circle to portray the essence of the story.
The work is supplemented with augmented reality animations to bring the chapter and these themes to life while also helping to rationalize the highly conceptual nature of the text to a new audience in a contemporary manner.
